I am pleased to announce that the North Georgia Conference has assigned a local part-time pastor to North Fayette United Methodist Church for the coming year – Pastor John Tomlin.
Pastor John graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Mining & Mineral Engineering and later received his Master of Divinity from Emory University. He previously served as an Associate Pastor at Cornerstone UMC, and as Pastor at Midway UMC and Hillcrest UMC. John lives in Coweta County with his wife Mary Elizabeth and son Randolf.
John is excited to become part of our church family and will join us in early July. Meanwhile, we will continue to post video sermons over the next five weeks featuring Pastor Beverly and several guest sermons. We plan to reopen for face-to-face services on Sunday June 28th, while following all state and Conference health and safety guidelines. Pastor Beverly will be with us on that day for her last service as our Pastor. We look forward to seeing you then.
Yours in Service,
Steve Justice – 2020 NFUMC Board Chair
